>Hey, pretty awesome rig you have, is that sidecar detachable?

Glad you like the sidecar set-up.

It is possible to take the side car off the motorcycle but it would take a
lot of work. It is not something you can just disconnect and connect when
you
want. The motorcycle has low profile automobile tires on it now and you
would need to get new motorcycle tires for it (we do not have them any
more). You would also have to buy some additional parts direct from
Yamaha. It would not be an easy task.

>Where did you get the windscreen and those rims for the bike?

My husband made the windscreen and we special ordered the rims. I'd have to
go back in my records to see where from.

>Are you on the Yamaha GTS list too?

We are on the Yamaha GTS list on ebay if that is what you mean.

>Why are you selling and what is the reserve on this bike?

In June our whole family is setting off on an around the world trip via sail
boat. We have decided to sell everything since we plan on being gone from
3-5 years. Storage would be too expensive.

Our reserve is set at $23,000. The side car kit was imported from France
unassembled. It alone cost nearly $13,000. The shipping and import fees
cost $1,500. The assembly cost totaled $3,000 in extra parts. The
professional paint job and leather interior cost $5,000. The side car
totaled at $22,500 (not including our labor). The Yamaha GTS cost $8,000
when we purchased it.

The total cost is over $32,500, not to mention its uniqueness as a one of
hand full here in the United States which gives it even more value. We feel
this is an exceptional value for such a beautiful and useful sidecar.

>ANy chance that I could come look at the bike if I was interested?

Yes, if you are still interested let me know. Contact me again should you
have any additional questions.

Respectfully, Lisa
