LEDs will be on cars within a few years. New developments are making them
bright enough for headlights with the advantages of compact size, durability,
etc. FYI: The first commercial LED headlight went on sale in the past few
weeks. For bicycles. (Relatively cheap, too.) First reports are that it
doesn't light the road very well, but is bright enough for visibility a long
way off.
