It makes me nauseously jealous to read your trip report. This was the first in five years straight that I haven't ridden the Pacific Coast Highway in California. Alas, last spring I moved from Seattle to Motorcycle Hell: New York City. I have ridden several of the roads you describe, and I can attest that everyone MUST RIDE THESE ROADS BEFORE THEY DIE! There are also some truly amazing roads in Central California, just west of Yosemite. Check'em out sometime.
