These are the colours and codes for the GTS paint schemes. I think yours is probably like my 93 colour item 1). Which can be said to be, depending on the lighting conditions, either blue, black or green although I see a puple tint to it. All in all a difficult colour to describe and has to be seen to be appreciated. N.B. probably the fastest GTS colour of all ;-) .

After some recent vandalism, I had to order replacement indicators, and they came in a medium blue metallic with a slight purple tinge, whereas my bike is a dark blue metallic with a slight grey-greenish tinge. The dealers (http://www.flitwickmotorcycles.co.uk/) hadn't seen the bike, when they asked me what colour to order, I said blue because I presumed (after endless messages on this list) that there were just two possibilities for a UK GTS (i.e. red or blue). But it turns out that according to Yamaha UK, my bike is *green*. Looking at the picture in Ride magazine last month, I can see that the bike they featured is definitely (purplish) blue. > > My colour vision is not perfect (I'm borderline on the pilot's "green light at night" recognition), but it's not *that* bad! > > Is there a paint code label anywhere on a GTS? > > David Thurgate http://www.uranus.co.uk/M_cycles.htm > =================================================== > Kawasaki ZX750-A1 in Tony Foale FFE frame > Current status: Dismantled ;-( > Yamaha GTS1000a in Yamaha FFE frame > Current status: In everyday use :-)
