The VIN numbers are different. On page 1 of the manual, if the 4th number from the RIGHT is a 3, it is a 49 state (called USA in the manual) model, if it is a 4, it is a CA model, if a 5, then Canadian, and if a 1 then Australia or NZ. Also a CA model has a charcoal canister and weighs 2 lbs more than the 49 state model. It doesn't specify European--so Nick and the rest of you who live on the other side of the pond, what does your manual say, or what is the number in the 4th place from the right end of the VIN say?
