My wife and I are trying (hopefully) to plan an extended roadtrip maybe the last week of June.
Starting in Denver and traveling northwest up into yellowstone, stop and tour for a couple of days...then head west to Crazy Horse. I am trying to find out when they have the Dynamite Blast Show. At night at crazy horse you can watch thousands of pounds of dynamite rip apart the mountain...much better than fireworks! We are planning on 1 1/2 weeks, trying to get a large group together. I may have a few bikes already on line, Hotel stays and wonderful touring. We would hit yellowstone before the 4th of July rush begins. I have to be back before the 4th of July...Im shooting for July 1 or 2 return to Denver. Anyone interested? If we cant make Yellowstone, my next shot would be for Chaco Canyon in New Mexico....WOW. Denver-285 South, down to the great sand dunes, camp for a couple of nights, or hotel, then down into Taos, across and down to Santa Fe, down and over to Chaco. Has anyone ever been down there? Quite an amazing environment. Anasazi Ruins, twisty roads through mountain valleys with rivers.....mmmmmm....makes me want to warm up the GTS-mistress. Let me know....any other suggestions? THOR
