I think others have pretty much debunked this device as well.

The other thing to keep in mind is just as Kevin says "better
atomization of the fuel mixture". This may very well be of benefit to
car engines, especially V8's with a big intake manifold and where the
fuel is being injected into the manifold, not to each cylinder
individually. These have relatively long runners to each cylinder.
But for our bikes, the injectors are right above the intake valves and
after the air intake/ throttle bodies. So putting these things in the
intake hoses from the air box to the throttle bodies would not do
anything to "atomize the fuel mixture" because there is no fuel yet.
Even if they could be fitted between the injectors and the intake valves
(I doubt it as there isn't much room) they would be of little benefit as
the distance before entering the cylinder is so short.
Sorry Shawn, but they aren't going to do anything for our bikes.
You would be better off investing in some of Thor's stock picks.

I believe that idea is to produce better atomization of the fuel
mixture.
Sounds VERY suspicious to me, but let us know what you experience.

John. Dave & Roger:

I just got off the phone with a company called Tornado Air Systems. The

make a "cookie cutter" type product that goes in your air hose before
the
injector/carbs. IT creates a vortex that mixes the gas and air for
better
vaporization. They have a 30 day MBG. Now I have just purchase one for
my
Odyssey because I'm taking a trip to Florida next month (Kevin
Harrington be
afraid!) They claim 10 to as much as 24% gas mileage increase. One of
the
guys on my Odyssey owners list bit the bullet and bought one...got 3.5
MPG
around town driving increase. I'm a skeptic as well...but my van 4400lb

getting 27-29mpg would be friggin awesome! So I'll let you know.

I spoke with one of their engineers...they make these devices for all
motors
(parasailers, bikes, cars, boats, etc) I asked about free units for your

Iron Butt rides, etc. They might be interested...but they do want to
sell a
product. My thought was Roger was coming down to DV in April or
sooner...measure the air intake sizes (let me know too!) they make them
in
5mm increments starting at 25mm. Fit one in each intack hose...try it
out.
If you could get a min. of 10% increase...does than mean 3 stops a day
instead of 4? Is that worth ~$50 each unit for the iron butt?

I'm just curious....you're talking close to 300 miles on a standard
tank....almost 400 in a larger tank....interesting! If they work, I
would
not be surprised if you couldn't get some sort of sponsorship for your
rides
too. Once a Marketing guy....always..
