They're frame sliders and I'd be shocked if that's the way they were
secured. Everything I've ever seen him sell is top shelf stuff.

This was the first time I've seen a set of skidders (or whatever you wanna
call something on the side of the bike that might offer some protection
should it fall over) on a GTS.  I am interested in finding something like
this, but they look like they are fastened to the bike by the screw used to
hold the lower side fairing in place.

My concern is that those screws are only fastened to the frame by a metal
tab welded to the frame behind the plastic.  If the bike were to go down
I'm
sure those tabs would simply bend, breaking the fairings with them.  Anyone
seen a REAL protective device for the GTS (other than a sidecar)?
