I feel I should tell about my bad experiences using liquid inyector cleaners. I�ve attempted in several occasions to have inyectors cleaned on two BMW�s cars �88 & �96, and BMW�s K100. I always got best results using ultrasound systems. Gasoline additives remove rubbish not only from inyectors. It remove rubbish from tank, fuel lines, filter, etc, and it�s placed in other parts, causing other/same trouble.
Using a ultrasound system, inyectors are took apart, and it�s not removed all the inyection system rubbish. It always worked very well. I�m being successful reducing the surging till nearly disappear by setting a poorer mixture air/gasoline. I�ve unscrew about 45 degrees ECU�s pots (which were at maximum setting) and can�t believe how smooth it goes. Last weekend tried the just non cathalized GTS in circuit, and when braking + reducing gears strongly, there were explosions in the exhaust. Conclusion: the gasoline is not fully burned in the engine, gets into exhaust and explode. Then reduced mixture and in my particular case worked. Goog luck to the surging affected. You need it!!
