Of course it's not mandatory to buy the 'superbike' bars that they suggest.
I've gone with a set from a 600 Fazer. Very comfortable, without going 'easyrider' ! I've Helibars on my Thunderace and whilst I like them, the amount of difference they make is only marginal.
