By the way folks, I was witness to one situation where laying it down saved the person's life. No he wasn't sliding under an 18 wheeler, but that would be a good example too! :)
My brother was very hot into a right hander in front of me- too hot in fact and it was a decreasing radius turn. There was an oncoming car which he was going to head-on if he continued into the turn. Instead, he slid it across the road with plenty of time before the oncoming car hit him. Being right there, I can say safely it was his only option. Of course, poor judgement got him into that situation to begin with. It's rare the case that laying down the bike would help and it's never been an ideal response in any situation I've been in. The best thing to do is get training, build up a very good system of responses and hope your intuition will benefit as a result when those situations do arise. \|/ \|/ Greg Christopher | | [EMAIL PROTECTED] ICQ: 4997683 PAGER: http://www.electronify.com/pager/ [EMAIL PROTECTED]
