Thanks-Wendy. Hi Wendy , what information do you need ? Testing . Possible faults . If you have a problem with the cam pulse sensor , how did you work out it was the item at fault . What fault code numbers have you had from the EFI , when in test mode . Do you have a Yamaha workshop manual . atb Nick T >Thanks for responding. There are no EFI fault codes . Hi Wendy , I haven't heard of this problem on the GTS list before , i take it that from what you have said , that your bike does not start at all? If the cam pulse generator works when installed on the crank , then it follows that the cam pulse generator is working ok . I would be checking the wiring from the cam pulse generator connector to the ECU . What makes you think that the fault is being caused by the cam pulse generator . If it was faulty there should be a fault code recorded . Or at least when cranking the engine , the EFI light on the dash ( clocks ) would be flashing . Can you tell me under what conditions , the bike failed . As to the voltage test , it does follow that you should be getting 12 volts , but just as a double check i'll measure mine tomorrow and let you know what i find . atb Nick T >Yes, the bike wouldn't start, though it is getting fuel and spark >(there is >an odd characteristic to the spark though).
