I wet sanded and then polished the edge of my shadowline black windscreen this winter. Now it has the same glossy finish on all exposed surfaces. That's the way I think it should come from the factory, not with some tacky looking rubber trim.
I suppose you could also "flame polish" the edge. I did it on a piece of acrylic in the shop a couple of weeks ago. Give it a try on a scrap piece first though to make sure you have the "touch". It would also help to smooth the ragged edge with some sandpaper first. GWN Daren
