Well....I dunno about that. BUT...I think the other way around. I started riding many moons ago and the one 'stinger' that would get me was to use the kill switch, especially when headlights on became mandatory. You see, if you use the kill switch, the bike stops, but everything electrical keeps working. Now, in your haste to get inside the restuarant, you figure, "Alright, the bikes off, nothing else to do, must get inside." Dead battery when you come out, and you or your date, now stuffed with a double helping of 'Chocolate Supreme Hot Fudge Sundae', must huff and puff while pushing the bike to get it started. (Yes, true story....) So, my thinking was, why do 2 things, (hit kill button AND remove key and risk leaving lights on and looking dumb if I forget to flip the kill switch back) or....do one thing, (remove key). Both situations covered. But Heyyy.....that's just me! I think I've used the 'kill' switch on my bike, like twice, since I've owned it. As for an emergency off situation...the bike's kinda got a 'built-in' device for that. I...uh....tipped it over once while running, and the 'tip' sensor had shut the bike off before it even hit the ground. (Around 40% to 45% degree's from vertical as I remember.) So, are you wierd? Eh. Define wierd. (You're/we're already riding a 'wierd' bike, "didja see the front end of that thing, Martha?"...)
