Totally custom from scratch. I based it loosely on the BOB YAK bicycle trailer (i.e. it looks like a chariot and has a single back wheel, end of similarity). My mounting mechanism is significantly different from BOB's patented version. They have a fixed width mounting at the rear axel, mine opens up (a bit more complicated to transfer the loads into the articulating pivot). I think mine is much beefier because I can afford the weight as it is motor powered as opposed to pedal power for a bike trailer. I use modified sockets grabbing the rear axel by the nuts! They can rotate so I don't undo the axel nuts as you go over a hill! No patents but already one offer from the trials mailing list to buy one. I want to retire, not make myself more work.
