Ah, today, May 18, a beautiful day in Colorado. Bright Sunshine, semi-gravel-free roads, clear traffic (because denver was too caught up in the Avalanche game to enjoy the weather...)
I was blessed today...I saw five golden hawks circling over me from time to time over the duration of my ride...wow. Started by going to Excel Yamaha dealer...to check on the price of the full tune....$260 plus parts...ah...HA! maybe diamonds would suit them! Went to my favorite window shopping experience...Lakewood BMW dealership...they have a new Cafe Racer (450cc)...with a strange slope, built-in tank bag, and two very small headlights....checked on the price for the AirFlow riding Jacket...my leather is getting quite warm...quite! $375, for a JACKET!....must be made out of titanium.....enough jots around town....decided to go for a nice ride up Wadsworth to HWY 6, to HWY 93....traffic was a little heavy, but nothing a few twists of the wrist cant handle. Made my way on the Indiana street loop and headed back through Golden, on HWY 58, nice and slow everyone....GOLDEN IS A SPEED TRAP. 50 is 50!...but outside of golden, nice slow gentle rounding turns you can easily carve at 90-100, slowed down, and decided...should I exit...or move on to 1-70....Lets move on....another punch...and Im up to 120, no one ahead, no one behind....I look up at the only exit I pass (McIntyre) and low and behold...there it is... Jefferson County Sheriff...On the on ramp for the opposite direction, I see him pull into traffic and start flying down the onramp...CRAP! ...CRAP...CRAP. I hit the breaks and go down to 70 in about 2-3 seconds...wow good breaks....I thought he was going to make a U-turn and come after me, so I pull over, get off, get my registration, license and look behind me expecting to see Lights bearing down on me.... Nothing.... Nothing at all.... Once I saw that, I said to my self.....punch it...hit it...get out and dont wait around....made it safely back home...no ticket. Thanks you HAWK.
