Hi Joerg. If you don't get any voltage drop when you turn your ignition On , you have got a disconnection , IE blown fuse / broken wire / bad connection , rather than a short , as a short should cause a voltage drop . You should be able to trace the fault from the ignition fuse , as it may not be showing 12volts . If the ignition fuse shows 12volts then you should check the ignition switch . If nothing on your bike works , i would be looking at anywhere between the battery and the ignition switch . Top of my list would be bad connection as your clock still works .
