Try making sure the battery bolts are tight. Mine get loose all the time.

Subject: Electric Problems - Need Help !

I have some MAJOR electric problems with my bike...

I started it for a ride this afternoon - no problem at all. Turn out of the
garage, turn left, 100 m downhill - in mid of hill the bikes "dies". Engine
stops. Cause there is some hill left I tried to fire it up rolling down the
hill. At the end of the hill engine still didn't run. I stopped and try to
fire it up by start button....nothing !

So I have to push up the bike all the hill to the garage....takes some time
to go there, but that's another story.

Investigations so far show following problem:

If "Ignition" Key is in "Off" Position, Clock is running.

Turning "Ignition" Key to "ON" Positions stops the Clock (Display empty). No
Lights at the Dashboard, No "Engine" Light, No "Neutral", No "EFI" Light in
the Dashboard. No Tail and Front Lights....No Indicators....completely
"dead".

Bike whant start at all.

Turning back the "Ignition" Key to "OFF" Position restarts the Clock at
01:00 AM.

I have checked following:

A.) Battery: A brand new one. Completely loaded - in the bike for a couple
of days without problems. Measurements are 12,8 V - and the Measurement is
the same when you turn the key to "ON" Position !

B.) Fuses. I pull out every fuse and check it with Ohm - Meter. All are
fine. I tried to switch the "Ignition" Key to "ON" Position with ALL pulled
fuses - expect the clock one. Same problem I mentioned before...

Now my bike sits in the garage - and I am sitting here confused - is there
some Help ? Suggestions ? Things to check out ?

Joerg
