Peg feelers, or "hero blobs" as we call them over here . . I've never given mine more that the faintest touch (call me a coward, blame British weather, etc.), but if I did knock one off I would have thought that any number of similar items from the scrapyard would have the same thread (probably M6), or as stated above, a plain and very cheap bolt, perhaps with a locknut and the head chamfered so it's less likely to dig in. $13 . . why that's almost 10 of our finest British Pounds!
