I have purchased the cowling before, it does not come with any stickers. I even still have the old one...it has a nick in it about the size of a dime, but otherwise in great shape.
I read an article in a big mag a while back about repairing plastic using heat guns and plastic sticks, sort of like welding. I would check with a big bike shop to see if they could do it... -----Original Message----- From: Walt Garcen [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, June 04, 2002 2:03 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: front cowling and mirrors My front cowling cracked by the holes that the middle cowling attaches to. This has probably happened to a few of you. I glued the pieces back together with plastic glue and reinforced it with bondo on the backside. I will sand the bondo down to 0.03" so the gap between the panels wont be large, but I don't expect it to last. Have any of you tried repairing the front cowling around the holes? If so what did you do? In the event I have to buy a new cowling, how do you get the mirrors off without breaking anything? Has anyone ever bought anew cowling? Does it come with the stickers and emblems attached?
