I had the chance to try several flip helmets in the last few months. My conclusion, don't by the schubert. The helmet is sooo loud. Even before siting on the bike, I notice how much noise it makes when you open it. Tke clicking of the helmet seem amplified has it travel to you ears. When driving it's the same thing. You have a loud roaring. After 20 minutes was ears were ringing.
I tried the Nolan. For the price it's a good deal (You can get it for 185 $ with the vent that is color matched or 158 $ with black vent) It has a lot of ventilation, but I think that it might not be air tight enough when you close all the ventilation, probably not water tight either, but since I live in California, that all right ;-). The finish is not perfect, you can see dust at a couple of places on the helmet. I tried the Shoei syncrotec. Feel like it is a better quality than the Nolan, but not twice the quality for twice the price. If you have enough money, get the Shoei. Otherwise the Nolan is pretty good. Richard
