Whew....thank goodness it has been confirmed, by the EXPERTS no less, that
red is faster !! I was worried for a moment.

I find it hard to believe there's a difference in diameter, but if it is
true I can only believe it was some futile attempt to compensate for all
that extra weight of the '94 (swingarm covers, extra shock adjusting spanner
and heavier blue paint). The Engineers obviously forgot about the extra
weight of the large pipes themselves too and the resulting huge loss of
mid-range because as everyone knows, and as proven by popular opinion on
this list, red GTSs are faster...

If somebody has access to the parts fiche for both 93 and 94, then the part
numbers can be compared....I personally would prefer the bigger pipes.

Does this mean that the 94 could possibly be faster ?

Can anyone help with this one?

I was speaking to a non-lister in UK who is interested in joining exhaust
group buy. He stated that the downpipes were made in 2 sizes - 29mm and
34.5mm. Has anyone else come across this one?
How can I find out which bike has which pipes?

His bike is a late 94, which he has had from new - he has 34.5mm pipes.

Robin
