I've written back to all those who have mailed me direct, and this is a 'cut-down' version of that letter (If you think you're in the group buy and haven't received this - let me know off-list!) If there are others still 'chewing' over the decision to join - there is still time. My bike is booked for the work on 5 August. If you want to trace the discussion thread, the first posting was 26 June under the heading of 'Exhaust - group buy?'. I guess this is where things get a bit difficult to organise, especially where there's such a lot of money concerned! I'd like to try and determine the exact interest so that I can talk more with Renegade, so I am trying to confirm the level of commitment. There also appears to be an issue with 'what size (diameter) are the downpipes'? I cannot get a definitive answer on this one - according to the part numbers, and a UK Dealer there is NO difference between the 93 & 94 bikes. According to listers' replies the 2 sizes are 29mm or 34.5mm. (I wonder if this is cosmetic and there are sleeves to bring larger size down to smaller?) To summarise the responses: UK Robin - buying downpipes and collector now, muffler later John Clegg - whole system? David Thurgate - collector? US Ron Huggins - left side exhaust for sidecar (Ron - I'm not yet sure what Renegade can do on this!)
