Oh, I know about MGB's. My dad has a 1963 MGB, first year built I think. Bought it new in England, had it shipped to the US. Left hand drive, as all cars should be.... Unfortuneatly as my dad got older, he neglected it badly, so now it sits rusting in my mom's back yard. (Dad passed away last year).
I learned to drive when I was 12 on that car. He also bought one for me when I was 16 (against my wishes, even then I knew about MG's, I wanted a 240-Z), but he failed to give it a good exam. It turned out to be a hardened mass of Bondo that only looked like an MGB. The underbody and suspension was so badly rusted that it would not pass inspection, and it had a front a-arm actually break a few weeks later. I think we had it for 3-4 months, and he sold it for parts. It had a good engine though... -----Original Message----- From: David Evans [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, July 17, 2002 12:24 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Is the list up ? Things are quiet.... I'm Up but the bike is trapped!!! My Bloody MGB has killed its batteries and can't be started. Since my beloved GTS is stored behind the MG I can't get it out until I get the MG running. For those who don't know MGB's have their batteries under the rear seat, and my Jump leads aren't long enough. So right now I can't play with either of my favourite toys.
