I've heard good thing about the Airhawk but have always been skeptical. Now
that I have heard a positive comment from an Iron Butt type like you, maybe
I'll change me mind. I think I'm going to go with Sargent this time. Thanks.

Subject: Seat

Walt,
Anything is better than the stock seat.
I have a custom made Corbin with the backrest for the wife.
I have the luxury of living about 35 miles from Hollister and went there
while they personally fitted the seat to me, the wife and the bike while
we waited. They have a great 50's style cafe there on the grounds. Have
heard many horror stories of people dealing with them thru mail order
though. Sargent, Rick Mayer and Russell are all very good.
It is better than stock and I have ridden many 24 hour / multi day trips
with it.
But it is not the best long distance seat you can get so I also have an
Airhawk cushion I throw on. I think it is the best invention as you can
vary the amount of air in it to suit how much cushioning you want. You
can get them thru rider wearhouse;

I like the Corbin because it is sporty as I like to move on the seat
when I'm cornering, has the removable back rest that most others don't,
so all up to what you are looking for.

Awesome trip! Personally the GTS seat feels uncomfortable under my 250
lb
butt. Did you have a custom seat? If so who did the work?
