Before the GTS I had a XJ900 for ten years and a BMW for one year. Both
are with crankshaft. I find it very messy with a chain drive plus the
extra maintenance when one drives in wet conditions. In Sweden that's
not unusual :-)
The cover is actually made for the Danish police. They have about 30
GTS's. So a friend of mine who have used it for a while got me one. It
makes the chain practically maintenance free. Of course one must check
on the tension but lubricating can be done once a year. The lubricant
we use is Litihum based grease due to the fact that the chain gets a
little warmer/hotter than without the cover.
