I can now attest that my R1100RT-P has more fairing screws than the GTS and there all hex headed!
I stripped the bike of all covers yesterday to install a Kisan SignalMinder, air horns, and a modulator. I also removed as many of the cop wires (the electronics were all gone long before it came to me) and anything else I could find that was not part of the original bike. I'm not quite finished buttoning it back up, but the air horns and the signal minder works, and the modulator as far as I can test it--it doesn't work under fluorescent lights...they seem bright, but they really aren't.
