I just got off the phone with their customer service, with somebody named
Bill.  The 800 number still works.  800-543-8216

He states that there is new ownership, that they are coming out of
recievership (I guess that is Chapter 11), and that the majority of the
business is still functioning fairly smoothly.  He alluded that the previous
owners had made some key stratigic errors, and did not run the company
properly.  They continue to maintain inventory along the same lines as
before, but this is being closely looked at.  Same computers, same
offices/buildings, mostly the same staff, new management/owners.

 As for my order, it never was processed, and was not present in the
database.  Earlier I had checked my credit card, and it had not been
charged.   Bill says the website is down due to technical snags (probably
like not paying the ISP bill !)


 As always, if you charge to a credit card, you will be protected.
Competition Accessories has been around for a long time, and I have never
had a problem with them before, so I hope they survive.
