In your message dated: Thu, 10 Oct 2002 10:01:13 PDT, The pithy ruminations from Reverend Baroon on <Good roads between Maryland and NC?> were: => Does anyone know of any good riding roads from Maryland towards North => Carolina? Someone on another list is asking.
You mean like the Blue Ridge Parkway? :) The BRP is nice, very smooth, consistent turns for about 350 miles. AFAIK, the limit is 45, and below about 75 it's an easy, comfortable ride. Watch out for the bambi and the caravans of "leaf peepers" driving at 20mph. Don't miss the turn off on VA Rt. 8, toward Buffalo Gap, VA, just north of the NC border. In fact, most of the small roads going up and down to/from the highway are tight and fun.
