Two stories from the "Winnipeg Free Press" in the last couple of years I remember
reading:

A corpse was discovered in the ductwork of a local jewelry store.  The person
apparantly decended head first from the roof and got wedged into the ductwork &
died.  The owner was trying to find the vile smell in his building.

Two young guys (20's) in rural Manitoba bought a flak/bullet proof vest and tested.
One wore it and the other fired a shotgun at him.  It kinda worked, the guy didn't die.
