A guy I work with took out a �10000 loan to buy shares in Marconi at just under �5 a share. All the experts said they would never get any lower, the telecomms market was booming, safe as houses they said, bound to get a good return.
At close of play today they were worth 2.39 PENCE each. He's not a happy chappy.
