I and most of my friends have no problems finding job. I suspect that a lot has to do with being accustomed to a certain standard of living. Me, I've lived the same way since I made minimum wage and I make lots more than that now. Still don't spend much more money though.
Venice used to be real nice but it's a tourist attraction and as such it's lost a lot of its appeal. Typically when people come over and want to see the "real" Los Angeles, they want to talk to a moviestar, see the hollywood sign and stuff, like a guy said on another list "I take them to SOuth LA and show them the homeless under the bridges" etc. :) You just have to find the sweet spots that aren't too nice or too crappy. Then again, for what I pay in rent on a small house here, many of you in other states will own large estates for. I suppose that makes me a sucker. heeh ----- Original Message ----- From: "Crisler, Jon" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Wow, I did not know that the job market was so good there... I do not really know much about CA, but I thought Venice was a nice beach town. But I saw something on the Discoverey Channel about police crowd control tactics, and they spotlighted Venice.....
