I asked the local BMW dealer when BMW would make an effort to reduce weight on their bikes (sport-touring). He told me it was "impossible" to make a good sport-touring bike that weighs less than 600 lbs. Needless to say I left immediately. BTW they also sell Ducati's...Sort of like the Yamaha reps who told me year after year at the Honda Hoot that there is no Sport-touring market in the USA and that the FJR would never come to the USA...Bob B.
