Is there something special about Stainless that makes it harder to grind like a normal 
key ?  Anyhow, I will take 2 !!

The keys all have codes which designate the depth of each cut on the key.
They do it in code to make duplication more difficult for the people
unintended to be doing the duplicating. Dealers have a book that translates
the codes for the keys into meaningful numbers to cut the keys by. As far as
punching them, I would think most dealers of any size would have the hand
held cutting tool that does nip out the keys.
