Mike, under what circumstances was the bike run just prior to shutdown? If it was started cold and left to idle for oil warmup prior to oil change then colors may be normal. If it was shutdown after a long ride at high speeds, then I would say something is amiss. Also how dirty was air filter before you cleaned- changed it? This would make a difference. The end of my ride to my home is 26miles of 70-80mph speeds, hence when I change my plugs they always have a nice clean tan color to them. So my point is, that I think prior engine running conditions to engine shut down make a difference in spark plug color. --- Michel Bijl <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Folks, > Today I serviced the bike (oil\oil filter\air filter > & spark plug change) > I noticed that the #1 spark plug had a nice dark > grey color.
