Interesting... That's a lot faster than the magazines posted top speed for the GTS. 150 mph is close to the posted top speeds for the FJR1300 and that bike has ~30 more HP. My mechanical engineering mind tells me something is amiss since power to overcome drag goes up approximately with the cube of velocity.

The GTS was still pulling strong, so I figure it will pull an honest 150... which is about 5 mph faster than I originally thought. BTW the bike is 100% stock. I'm impressed. And with that I shall retire. -Pete --- wghalley <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Compared to the GPS mine's 6% low (with the 120 > front tire) > Bill > > -----Original Message----- > From: GTS-1000 Owners List > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On Behalf > Of Peter Maggiacomo > Sent: Sunday, December 29, 2002 11:52 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Speedometer Accuracy > > > Was riding today with the friend who has the > 03 FJR1300.
