I have a good friend here in Ventura named Bob Johnson. Sounds like a
nice trip. My wife would probably stay home with the little one. That
weekend is currently open for me, but I may have to wait until we get
closer to that date to commit with reservations (may have to work).
A few other questions:
What time Friday would the group in L.A. be gathering for the ride up?
As it looks like most of the ride is on Saturday, roughly how many miles
do you cover?
And are you staying in Beatty both Friday and Saturday nights?

In the past we have all gotten together at the Stagecoach Inn at Beatty Nevada. It is usually in the afternoon when people begin arriving. One of us calls and gets a block of rooms set aside for the group and it is up to each person to make their own reservations. I bring my wife and each year it varies but wives or girlfriends are always invited. We have dinner together on Fri night and spend Sat touring the Death Valley area and have lunch at a really nice place in Furnace Creek.
Sun morning we meet for breakfast in Death Valley and say our goodbye's and head home. There are several of us that leave the San Diego and L.A. area and meet and ride up together. All are welcome.
It looks as though I am going to have to stick to the 14,15 and 16 of March dates and since I have not heard from anyone else I will call Mon or Tues and reserve a block of rooms. I dont have the phone number of the Stagecoach Inn handy but you can get it off the internet if you do a search for Beatty Nevada.
