AND, never trust a sysadmin when he says "yea, I do backups !" unless you actually see 
it in action !!

I share with you the sacred mantra of the Systems Administrator.

Multiple, Redundant Backups.
Multiple, Redundant, Offsite Backups.

Never trust a backup. Never trust a backup device. Never trust a user
or a systems administrator to have actually tested their backups.
