The answer is yes, there will be lightning talks but afaik we haven't decided anything else in more detail. It's something that still needs to be defined, suggestions are appreciated.
Until know we have been defining mainly the keynotes and >1h track sessions. Below this we could have: - 15' presentations, like 6 in a row (1h30), once a day during the 3 Core days. Maybe we could do them in the main venue: brief presentations that are potentially interesting to everybody. - Those presentations falling out of this selection + last minute or fully non-planned presentations could be held in a Speakers Corner in the Entrance Hall, a potential active place. - Also in the entrance hall, it was suggested to have some physical surface where people could stick poster presentations, without needing authorization or something. Just go and stick what you have printed. We know the hall - http://beta.guadec.org/node/43 - will have a Nokia stand + O'Reilly stand, maybe Linux Magazine as well and maybe LUG Radio too, plus other sponsors that might be interested having a stand + registration/information and... the power cords will be there + a good amount of square meters to meet casually, sit on the floor, check email on the move...
