Some small comments: wrt Step 1: If you have a connection flight in the Schengen area (e.g. from Frankfurt or Amsterdam to Prague) you will likely have the passport/visa check already in Frankfurt or Amsterdam, and likely will not be checked again when arriving in Prague. wrt Step2: When using an ATM cash machine I recommend to withdraw an amount that is not one large bill that most shop assistants will grumpily refuse. For example, don't withdraw 2000CZK as you might receive one big bill. Withdraw something like 2200 or 1800 instead. The smallest bill is 100CZK (Czech crowns) which is 4EUR. You could get change by buying something simply like a bottle of water (there are shops in the airport - it will be slightly overpriced as in every airport, but not a complete rip-off or such). wrt Step 3: Prague Airport definitely has free wifi (for 15 minutes, then you need to reconnect). wrt Step 3 (the second one): Information on StudentAgency stop, map, GPS coordinates: http://jizdenky.studentagency.cz/en/boarding-places/17552003.html wrt Step 4: You might need to switch the StudentAgency bus at "Florenc" central bus station in Prague. wrt Step 6: Public transportation tickets in Brno: See https://www.guadec.org/travel/#brno for potential ticket types and price. You can buy tickets both at machines and at the driver's (though I would not expect the driver to speak English), and a single-way ticket will be definitely less than 50CZK. If you are unsure I'd recommend to just ask "Tererova" to the driver when entering the tram, which is the name of the stop where you want to get off. In most trams and busses, the name of the next step is shown on a display and/or is announced via loudspeakers. wrt Troubleshooting: If luggage is lost, there is an info desk in every airport terminal where you file out a form, describe how your luggage looks like, and provide them with contact information info. Your luggage will be delivered to that address once it's been located and identified. andre -- Andre Klapper | [email protected] http://blogs.gnome.org/aklapper/ _______________________________________________ guadec-list mailing list [email protected] https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/guadec-list
