I believe it is. The changelog for Smack 3.3.0 [1], released 2013-05-04, says that bug SMACK-379 [2] was fixed. That bug is specifically about RFC6121 and supporting servers that don't advertise the session feature. In addition, the changelog for Smack 4.1.0 [3], released 2015-03-29, shows that bug SMACK-622 [4] was fixed, which presumably means that it now adheres to this Internet-Draft: https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-cridland-xmpp-session-01 Note that Smack 4.1.0 directly supports Android [5]; there's no need for aSmack anymore.
