Alas I can’t make it. Right now I’m focused on making Thali real. To which end
our latest (baby step, pre-alpha, just for play) release went out last week -
http://www.goland.org/story0/

Also any devs who read [1] from below should also read
http://thaliproject.org/presenceprotocolforopportunisticsynching

It explains how Thali has designed its identity system to meet (as much as
current technology will allow) the rights in the bill of rights.

               Thanks,

                                             Yaron

Subject: [guardian-dev] Event: [Sept 17] Drafting "Citizen's Charter for
Cyberspace" @ Brooklyn Law Magna Carta Symposium

If anyone is near Brooklyn, this event might be of interest:

https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/3kkt83/join_consensys_in_drafting_a_citizens_charter_for/
I'd seen some interesting Thali links being discussed on the list[1], and
thought this might be interesting to those participants.

I imagine this sort of thing has been done before, but the one differentiator
is that it's being pushed in the Ethereum community. Ethereum is an open source
project building on Bitcoin blockchain technology, but intended for running
arbitrary code (ie. a decentralized trust layer for building decentralized
organizations).
