Hi,
one of my colleague fixed it by adding manually the bho module files
into external folder inside ChatSecure source code.
try to download the missing module from here:
https://storage.googleapis.com/google-code-archive-source/v2/code.google.com/bho/source-archive.zip
save it into ./external/bho-source.zip
go to ./external and run "unzip bho-source.zip"
then re-run
git submodule update --init
Let me know if it works.
I'm still having problem to use Android Studio and ChatSecure.
