Happy to share with you an update on one of our smaller projects. We had a team interested in updating this effort from a few years ago, and here is the great result. Pixelknot is an Android application that allows users to hide short text-based messages in photographs and share them across trusted channels.
"Have a secret that you want to share? Why not hide it in a picture? With PixelKnot, only your friends with the secret password can unlock your special message. Everyone else just sees a pretty picture. It’s a fun and easy way to share hidden messages without anyone knowing. Take those pixels, twist them in a knot, and see for yourself!" If you are asking yourself, what's the point of this app? Well, whenever someone brings up that even using encryption can be a flag to surveillance overloads, at least we have one answer to that. It is also a great way to hide sensitive data on your own phone, inbox, or cloud drive, right in plain site. I am also pleased that the app fits in our "2MB Apps Rule" category, along with Checkey, Location Privacy, Ripple (I think?), OpenArchive, and the soon to be released ProofMode! https://guardianproject.info/apps/pixelknot/ https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=info.guardianproject.pixelknot https://github.com/guardianproject/PixelKnot/releases/tag/1.0.0 -- Nathan of Guardian [email protected] _______________________________________________ List info: https://lists.mayfirst.org/mailman/listinfo/guardian-dev To unsubscribe, email: [email protected]
