-- Can't enable firewall by means of Gufw via the System->Preferences https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/392113 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Gufw Developers, which is subscribed to gui-ufw in ubuntu. Status in “gui-ufw” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Binary package hint: gufw I installed Gufw. After the installation I clicked on the new installed menu-item (System -> Preferences). I was not able to enable the firewall nor to make any of the settings (all grey). Then I opened the terminal-console and entered gufw. A dialog appeared asking for the sudo password. Then I was able to set up the firewall. I closed the terminal. I was able to enter Gufw (System -> Preferences) and to disable the firewall. After disableing the firewall all settings are greyed out again and I have to start gufw by means of the terminal again. Why isn't the sudo-popup-dialog not invoked when you start gufw via System-Preferences? And why can one disable the firewall without a password? _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~gufw-developers Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~gufw-developers More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
