I took a very quick look at it, so it is hard to judge, but from this
first look it looks impressive!
However, if you don't want it to be a "yet another GUI for Apache",
especially when most of the alternatives are open-source, the
following two conditions are critical for the success of it:
1. It is already written in Java; Is it possible to re-write it as a
Java applet, so it can run from any browser, without any need to
download and install any software on the client side, but only on
the server side?
2. Does it support extensions? There are zillion of 3rd party modules
(and each of us has his own Apache modules too); It will be very
pity if the added directives of these modules are not supported.
And please, don't add a "free-text-editing" of httpd.conf for
custom directives, as some other GUIs do; Supply a customization
API which can be used to add functionality and directives to your
software. A real extensible GUI configuration tool.
If these two conditions are met (maybe they are already?), and the
software really does what it claims in your home page, then the
success is promised!
