I applied your patch with a modified commit message:
gnu: luajit: Update to 2.0.3.
* gnu/packages/lua.scm (luajit): Update to 2.0.3.
Notice the use of the present tense, the "." at the end (minor points,
admittedly) and in "(...)" the name of the variable that has been affected
by the change.
