Hey, On Xfce I have no black dialogs and it works fine. The only thing that really bothers me is that gnunet-gtk doesn't have a desktop icon (this may be an upstream issue), and as others have shown in errors, gnunet-vpn isn't suid so it needs a wrapper, or instructions on how to add a wrapper.
