I agree. ‘--debug’ here is really shorthand for ‘--ad-hoc debugging-essentials’. More accurately: ‘gnu-linux-c-debugging-essentials’. It seems better if users compose such things themselves. Then again, I haven't used GUIX_PACKAGE_PATH & friends yet, so I've no idea how (un)pleasant it is. Kind regards, T G-R
