Starting from 0.12 (and a bit earlier than that), the daemon relies on this ‘download’ helper, aka. ‘guix perform-download’, to realize fixed-output derivations. It looks like you have an up-to-date daemon but somehow it lacks its helper, or its helper has been removed or something like that. Could you check what’s happening? HTH, Ludo’.
